Some drivers think buying insurance cover as avoidable financial burden so do not compare car insurance quotes but on the contrary, these drivers usually indulge in road accidents.

The honest drivers are questioning about the hike in their insurance premium even if they are not involved in any kind of road dilemma. Understanding reasons of high insurance premiums

Auto insurance is mandatory, so understanding how the premium rates are charged becomes important in trying to reduce the monthly premium rates. Insurance companies may say that the minimum the policy, lesser the premium, but buying minimum insurance just to save in premiums is not recommended.

    HEL Performance – 2011 Season

    It has been a very busy start to the year for the team at Hel Performance Products and their continued help and support of riders in the British Superbike Paddock with brake lines and their on site race truck. 2010 was a very successful year for the Hel Performance team and have once again pledged their backing for various teams and riders in 2011.

    In the British Superbike Championship alone 27 of the 39 entered riders are using Hel Brake Lines which equates to 18 of the 25 teams. With two rounds now completed and the third round taking place at Croft Circuit, North Yorkshire this weekend 13th – 15th May the Hel backed riders are already proving a force to be reckoned with.     One in four motorists Shun shopping for car insurance

    According to a survey, around 30% of the motorists stick with the same insurer without shopping around at car insurance supermarket to find a better deal.

    The most common reason cited for not switching to the existing car insurance provider is loyalty. Around 29% of the car owner wants to remain loyal to their car insurer so renew their policy with the existing provider without searching for another reasonable option.

    Around 26% of the car owners think that their insurer offers them the best deal when they signed up the policy so they prefer to stay with the same provider. Read more…

    Banks drop PPI appeal

    Consumers who took out a loan or credit card in the last six years have been told to check their documents to see if they were sold loan insurance, following a decision to re-open compensation claims.

    So far the average sum paid out to consumers who complain they were mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI) is £2,750.

    Barclays, RBS and HSBC announced on Sunday that they would follow the example set by Lloyds and would no longer persue a legal fight against the Financial Services Authority (FSA) concerning sales of the controversial loan cover.
