Tommy Hill and Yukio Kagayama of the Worx crescent Suzuki team will be heading up the Brands Hatch GP circuit in Kent on the coming weekend, August the 6th and 8th, to race in another British Superbike triple-header programme. The two Worx Crescent Suzuki riders will be defending the lead that they currently have in the Championship.
In the last round of the British Superbike Championship that was held at Snetterton, Tommy Hill walked away with three podium finishes; with these finishes Hill regained the lead in the Championship standings. For Tommy, who makes his home in East Sussex, the BSB round in Brands hatch is Tommy’s ‘home’ round, a circuit that he enjoys, being the winner on the Indy circuit in the first round of 2010.
Tommy’s team mate Yukio Kagayama will be returning to British Superbike racing after being away at the Suzuka eight hour endurance race. Yukio was set for a podium finish in that competition when his team mate suffered a crash. However, Yukio continued to fight on and managed to make it back up to sixth place by the end of the race. This was another test for Yukio’s right hand that had been injured at the Mallory Park, a test that Yukio passed with flying colors. So it appears that Yukio will be back at full capacity for the coming weekend of British Superbike action.
