After we were blessed with glorious sunshine at the opening two rounds of the British Superbike Championship the weather for Croft and round four at Thruxton took a turn for the worst. The Gimoto riders were once again reliant on their Gimoto leathers during the wet and cold conditions at Thruxton Circuit but once again with great success gaining three wins and eight podiums over the weekend.
Gimoto rider Richard Cooper opened the day well with a stunning win in a dramatic Superstock 1000 race, the scheduled 15 lap race got underway but the safety car was deployed for four laps whilst the marshal’s cleared up an incident, the race proceeded for a six lap sprint race before it was red flagged on lap 11 due to rain.
Barry Burrell in his Gimoto leathers won both of the Superbike Evo races in extremely wet conditions which provided very close racing, Barry was able to beat his BMW Superbike team mates in the first race and was very pleased with his first double race Evo win.

The new Gimoto Technical Support Team had a good if not wet weekend at the truck with the riders visiting throughout the weekend to ensure their leathers were in perfect order for the wet conditions.
