Impressive Performance by Laverty and Seeley at the British Superbike Championship

It was a day that seen the red flag come out time after time, a day of nasty weather that took its toll on the seventh round of the BSB Championship that was held in Scotland. The effect of the weather eventually led to the cancellation of the second race of the day, with only the first race fully completed.

The race that was able to be completed took had to be restarted twice in the terrible conditions on race day; however, Alastair Seeley and Michael Laverty of Relentless Suzuki were able to keep their focus throughout the race. It was Michael Laverty who worked his way up through the pack from the fifth row position before settling for fourth place after he had got the best use of his wet front tyre while pursuing the three leaders. It was also Laverty that had the third fastest lap of the race.

Alastair Seeley, the series rookie fell from his place on the second grid to 11th place, Seeley, however was bold in his comeback as he finally made it back to come in right behind his team mate for a hard earned fifth place finish.

Laverty was ahead in the second race before it was red flagged in the early laps due to six racers ending up in the gravel trap; the second race eventually was cancelled due to safety concerns from high winds.
