HM Plant Honda at Round Seven of the British Superbike Championship

The HM Plant Honda team will be at Snetterton for round number seven of the British Superbike Championship. The Snetterton event will be the first triple-header event of the season, as it takes in last weekends cancelled race at Knockhill.

Josh Brookes of the HM Plant Honda team is the current leader in the overall championship by four points even though he suffered a crash that occurred in testing last week. Josh is resolute in building on his four podium finishes that he has won in a row and also on holding on to his lead in the British Superbike Championship standing after competing in the three BSB races this weekend. It was at the Norfolk circuit last year that Josh Brookes achieved his first double podium in the British Superbike Championship, so he is planning on adding to his podium finishes this weekend.

Ryuichi Kiyonari in the meantime is coming back from his recent test in Japan preceding the Suzuka Eight Hour race, and is eager to build upon the striking form that he has shown in the previous rounds that has propelled him to third place in the overall standings. The circuit in Snetterton has been one of his best in the past; out of eight races at the Snetterton circuit he has seen five victories, which include double victories in 2006 and in 2007.

In addition to being at Snetterton, the HM Plant Honda Team will also make its return to the National Superstock 1000 Championship as Bryan Staring debuts in the United Kingdom in the stead of Steve Plater who is still recuperating from an injury.
